Teaching for FFCA
FFCA teachers must have a valid Alberta Education teaching certificate or be eligible for a Letter of Authority. Membership with the ATA (Alberta Teachers Association) is not mandatory. FFCA teachers may take out an associate membership at the annual cost of $100.00.
Teacher salaries at FFCA are in accordance with Board approved grids. Grid placement is based on education and experience. Providing a Statement of Qualifications of the Teacher Qualifications Service (TQS) is mandatory. The TQS establishes the education component of salary grid placement. TQS information may be obtained from the ATA website. Without a TQS you will be placed at level 4 for the education component of the grid. Apply as soon as you possibly can for your TQS. Processing of this document is extremely slow. Teachers will be asked to provide verifications of experience from previous employers to confirm the experience component on the grid. The current salary grids may be viewed by clicking on the link here: Salary Grids .
