We are thrilled to announce that Nabiha Azami, a former Grade 6 student at FFCA and now in Grade 11, has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2024 Calgary 911 Hero Award. This prestigious award recognizes young individuals who go above and beyond to support emergency personnel during critical incidents.
In December of last year, Nabiha's quick thinking and brave actions made a significant impact during an emergency situation. Calgary 911 staff have highlighted her invaluable role in assisting first responders, a contribution deemed extraordinary by the Calgary Emergency Management team.
Nabiha credits much of her inspiration and courage to her teachers and mentors at FFCA, particularly her former Grade 6 teacher, whom she deeply admires and who has played a pivotal role in shaping her journey.
The award ceremony, hosted by Calgary's Emergency Management, will take place tomorrow, with media coverage expected. We are incredibly proud of Nabiha's accomplishment and look forward to sharing more photos from the event.
