FFCA North High School Hosts Successful First-Ever Open House to Celebrate New Campus
On Saturday, October 26, FFCA North High School (NHS) held its first-ever Open House, welcoming a large crowd to celebrate the school’s new campus and recognize the contributions of the FFCA community. This landmark event drew neighbors, alumni, current students and their families, former and current staff, as well as many families from the waitlist. With an estimated attendance of 600 to 1,000 people, the event was filled with vibrant interactions and a sense of shared community pride.
The Open House provided a lively array of activities for all ages, with volunteer NHS students hosting face painting, henna art, and balloon animal stations, which delighted children and adults alike. Guests also explored classrooms and learning spaces, showcasing FFCA’s commitment to innovative teaching and learning across all departments. Local food trucks added to the atmosphere, generously waiving their typical booking fees to join in the celebration.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated planning committee worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Alumni Aisha and Rishi from the class of 2024 joined school council members Karol and Zen, as well as staff committee members Andrews, Robinson, Smitham, and Susan Boyd to orchestrate the Open House. Their efforts were evident in the day’s seamless coordination, welcoming environment, and high turnout.
Additional support came from NHS staff members, including Campbell, Grewal, Widmer, both Dawes, Webb, Smart, Classen, and Newell, who contributed to the success of the event. The event left a lasting impression on all attendees, who expressed their appreciation for the school’s welcoming spirit and strong sense of community.
For NHS, the Open House was a celebration of more than just a new building; it was a testament to the community’s dedication and connection, as many attendees described it as “a bucket-filling day” for North High School.
