Shawna Drummond
It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Shawna Drummond as the Principal Educator at the Northwest Elementary Campus. Mrs. Drummond has been serving as Associate Principal at Northwest Elementary since August 2019. She began teaching music with FFCA in 2002. Prior to joining Northwest Elementary, she spent seven years as Associate Principal at North Middle School Campus. Shawna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Lethbridge and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership Administration from Gonzaga University.
Shawna shares the following thought on taking on this PE role: “Working at the Northwest Elementary this year has been a highlight in my career. I am constantly in awe of the dedication and care the staff bring to school each day. I feel blessed to serve amazingly kind, funny, intelligent children and their equally compassionate and committed parents. I am thrilled for this new opportunity in a place that I love.”

Joshua Symonds
It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Joshua Symonds as the Principal Educator at the South Middle School Campus. Mr. Symonds has been serving as Associate Principal at North Middle School Campus since August 2019. He began teaching Physical Education and Leadership with FFCA in 2005. Prior to joining North Middle School, he spent seven years as Associate Principal at the High School Campus. Josh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Queensland, and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Gonzaga. He has recently completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership in International Contexts from Western University.
Josh shares the following thought on taking on this PE role: “It is an honour to have the opportunity to move into the role of Principal Educator with FFCA. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Associate Principal at both FFCA High School and North Middle School Campuses and I am excited to serve the South Middle School community with Mr. Classen and the entire team at SMS.”
