Foundations for the Future Charter Academy (FFCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Principal Educator for the Southeast Elementary Campus (SEE), effective August 2026.
With Krista Lee retiring at the end of the 2025–2026 school year, we are excited to share that Rachel will be stepping into this leadership role.
Rachel has been a valued member of the FFCA community since 2004. Over the years, she has taught Grades 5, 6, and 7 at the South Middle School Campus and has brought her leadership and dedication to SEE in her role as Associate Principal since 2021.
She holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary, completed in 2010.
Reflecting on her new role, Rachel shared:
“I am truly excited and honored to be stepping into the role of Principal at the Southeast Elementary campus. It is a privilege to continue serving our SEE community, and I look forward to partnering closely with our students, families, and staff in this new capacity.
Together, we will continue to honor the foundation that has been established while working collaboratively to support student success, build on the strong relationships that have been thoughtfully built within our campus, and move SEE forward with care, purpose, and pride. I am grateful for your trust and partnership as we begin this next chapter together.”
FFCA is extremely pleased that Rachel has accepted this new opportunity. Her deep understanding of the FFCA community, combined with her commitment to student success and collaborative leadership, positions her well to guide Southeast Elementary into its next chapter.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Krista Lee for her years of dedicated service and leadership. Her contributions have had a lasting impact on the SEE community, and she will be greatly missed.
