What is Campus/School Council?
The Campus/School Council is the advisory body composed of parents, administrators, teachers, secondary students, and community representatives at each campus. It provides the campus community a means to participate in decisions that impact student learning success. For information regarding a specific campus council, go to the campus webpage then click on the Parent Partnership menu option.
What is ASC?
The Association of School Councils (ASC) is comprised of the Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the FFCA Campus/School Councils. A representative from Central Office and from the Board of Directors often attends ASC meetings.
The ASC fosters a sense of community throughout FFCA by facilitating:
-
A forum for the sharing of activities and exchanging of ideas.
-
The discussion of common key issues identified by the FFCA Campus/School Councils.
-
A 'Resource Center' for Councils by providing access to collected documentation that may assist Council members in their day-to-day operations.
-
The management of the Community Fund (see Article 10, Fundraising of The Bylaws for FFCA School Councils).
