With Josh Symonds transferring to our Central Office
for the 2025 -2026 school year, we are excited to
announce the new Principal Educator who will be
leading South High School Campus next year!
Michelle joined us on August 29, 2009, as a grade 8
math/science teacher at SMS, later moving to FFCA
High School as a science/chemistry teacher. In 2021
she took on the role of Associate Principal at NWE
before transferring to NHS in April, 2024 to support the
move into our new building.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in science and
mathematics from Dalhousie University, a bachelor’s
degree in education from Acadia University, and a
Master of Education in Secondary Education from
University of Alberta.
Michelle shares the following thought on joining FFCA and taking on this role: “I am
thrilled to be joining the South High School team next year and eager to embrace the
challenges and growth that lie ahead. I’m deeply grateful to the students, staff, and
families at North High School - working with such passionate and committed individuals
has been an incredible learning experience. As I take this next step, I’m excited to
reconnect with former colleagues at SHS and to help strengthen the ongoing
collaboration between our two FFCA high schools.”
