Internal Transfer Requests

Please note: Internal Transfers take effect in Aug/Sep of each year; there are no mid-year transfers.

If your family is moving to a home that is outside the boundary of your child's current campus, your child may remain at that campus but you will be responsible for transporting your child to and from school. Bussing is not available outside the designated campus boundaries. If you require transportation, you will need to apply for an internal transfer to the campus designated for your new address. You may apply on or after the first day of school in the 22/23 year and applications should be in place by March 1, 2023 to have the best opportunity to transfer for the 2023/24 year.

The fulfillment of Internal Transfers is dependent upon available space at the desired campus. There can be a lengthy wait time (up to 5 years).

The transfer requests applications are submitted through the Online Wait List System. The Internal Transfer Students will be considered for transfer in the order defined by our admission process (AP-I-101.1 Registration and Admission of Students). This does not mean that your current FFCA student does not have a guaranteed seat for next year. As long as you re-register your student in the spring, he/she will have a GUARANTEED seat at the current campus. There are, however, no guarantees of a transfer to the desired campus.

***Both parents/guardians must be aware of the transfer request and they must both be listed on the application***

In order to add your child to the Internal Transfer Request list, you will need to do ONE of the following:

1. If you do NOT have a child on our wait list: click the link below to access the Online Wait List System, create an account, fill in the application, adding BOTH parents/guardians, using the new address, then upload proof of the new address (offer to purchase, offer to lease or updated driver's license). You do NOT need to upload the birth certificate or report card since your child is a current FFCA student. After you have completed the application, please email me to let me know that you are requesting an Internal Transfer so that I approve the application right away AND so that I know why you have not uploaded all required documents. If you do not know the new address or are wanting to transfer for convenience, include that information in your email and I will let you know further steps.

2. If you DO have a child on our wait list: click the link below to access the Online Wait List System, login to your active account, fill in a new application for your FFCA student, ensure BOTH parents/guardians are listed, using the new address, then upload proof of the new address (offer to purchase, offer to lease or updated driver's license). Change the address of your wait listed student/s at the same time. You do NOT need to upload the birth certificate or report card since your child is a current FFCA student. After you have completed the application, please email me to let me know that you are requesting an Internal Transfer so that I approve the application right away AND so that I know why you have not uploaded all required documents. If you do not know the new address or are wanting to transfer for convenience, include that information in your email and I will let you know further steps.

If the Internal Transfer Request is NOT accommodated and you would like your child to remain on the list for the following year, you will be required to renew the application during the fall renewal period in order to maintain the order in which you applied for the transfer.
